SRC Blades

SRC BLADES

The type of location where snow clearing takes place greatly influences the choice of optimal blade type.

The SRC 25, 36 and 50 blades are the established norm for open roads, providing great durability and low fuel consumption. Highly abrasive road surfaces require an extremely tough blade.

Whether working at high speeds on a motorway or carefully manoeuvring city streets and parking lots, clearing light and dry or wet and heavy snow, using a single-segmented or multi-segmented snow plough, there’s an optimal Norskal blade for each scenario.

  • Combination of steel, rubber and corundum
  • Recommended for medium-weight (SRC 25, 36)  and heavy (SRC 50) snow ploughs
  • All types of snow
  • All types of roads except tiled surfaces
  • SRC 25 – Savings 400€ per set
  • SRC 36 – Savings 600€ per set
  • SRC 50 – Savings 1.000€ per set

MATERIALS

The SRC 25, 36 and 50 blades are built as a combination of three materials. The outer shell is made of a tough, wear-resistant steel. Inside, a rubber layer surrounds a row of corundum inlays while providing flexibility. The corundum inlays give the blade superb resistance to abrasion and up to 4 times greater durability compared to conventional steel blades.

A – STEEL
Hardox is known as a hard and firm steel for an aggressive environment. Its incomparable combination of hardness and toughness represents a standard in the whole world as the steel which is resistant to abrasion (AR). Thanks to its unique substances, it is used for the highest loads.

B – RUBBER
It is a specially developed rubber component which is resistant to extreme requirements of different road surfaces. It has great wear resistance and flexible and elastic properties for effective adaptation to irregularities.

C – CORUNDUM
Has a drip molding of crystalline oxide form, with high hardness and resistance to abrasion, which places it right behind the diamond. With a specially designed form it is manufactured as an insert for all kinds of our snow plough blades.

SRC 25
Optimized for light snowploughs

The SRC 25 combination blade is a time-proven design used throughout the European continent. The dimensions of the blade are suited for smaller, lighter snow ploughs. It is made of a wear-resistant steel outer layer with corundum segments integrated into a rubber layer on the inside. Thanks to this composition the blade has low friction in contact with the surface which prolongs its lifespan and helps reduce fuel consumption.

SRC 36
Gliding through snow

The SRC 36 combination blade is a great match for most snow ploughs in all but the most extreme conditions. On open roads as well as urban thoroughfares it can be relied upon consistently. It is made of a wear-resistant steel outer layer with corundum segments integrated into a rubber layer on the inside. Thanks to this composition the blade has low friction in contact with the surface which prolongs its lifespan and helps reduce fuel consumption.

SRC 50
Durable and tough

The SRC 50 combination blade is meant for heavy snow ploughs used in areas with large amount of snow. The increased thickness gives the blade additional durability for difficult conditions. It is made of a wear resistant steel outer layer with corundum segments integrated into a rubber layer on the inside. Thanks to this composition the blade has low friction in contact with the surface which prolongs its lifespan and helps reduce fuel consumption.

SRC 36 / 50 DUPLEX
Optimized for all types of snow ploughs, that are constructed to accept these types of blades.

With its construction it is made as combination of high quality rubber, special complex corundum composed in two rows and hardox steel as a finishing transformation. Duplex is an ideal choice when it comes to ploughing areas with no end. Since the corundum is composed in two rows, Duplex is two times more durable that standard SRC blades and when one side is worn, the blade turns and resumes with work.
